Christian extremists disrupt first ever Hindu prayer in the US Senate

For the first time in history, a Hindu today delivered the Senate’s morning invocation. But three protesters belonging to the Christian Right anti-abortion group Operation Save America loudly interrupted the invocation, stating, “Lord Jesus, forgive us father for allowing a prayer of the wicked, which is an abomination in your sight.” Digg story

What is it that scares extremist Christians so much about other religions in this country? We ask the same question about Islamic extremists and attempt to hold our nation as an example above the rest. However, we have many similar ideological fears that plague other nations.
